Our School Day

At Ripponden School, the bell rings at 8.50am, where children are collected from the playground by teachers. There will always be a member of staff out on the playground at 8.40am, so if you need to speak to someone, we will be there. If you need to speak to your child's teacher before the start of the day, please come straight to the office before the start of the school day and hopefully, we should be able to see you.

The structure of the rest of the day is as follows:

EYFS and Key Stage One:

Time into School

10.25am - 10.40am

11.45 am (Reception) 12pm (KS1) - 1.05pm

2.10pm - 2.25pm

Key Stage Two:

Time into School 8.50am
Playtime  10.45am - 11am
Lunchtime 12.15pm - 1.10pm
Playtime 2.30pm - 2.45pm
Hometime 3.30pm

At the end of the day, all Reception and Key Stage One children will be brought up onto the playground to be collected and Key Stage Two children will make their own way out onto the playground. There will always be a member of staff on duty in the playground to make sure all children have been collected. If you are running late, please telephone the office to avoid any confusion or upset.

Along with these routines, we also have an act of Collective Worship every day. These vary day to day and can be; Key Stage assemblies, whole school assemblies, assemblies led by a member of the local clergy or Key Stage Celebration assembly.
