Reading at Ripponden!
Here is a useful website about Little Wandle for parents:

Here at Ripponden, we love to read! As well as teaching our youngest children to read, using our new, DfE Accredited Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP) Scheme, Little Wandle, we teach reading across the school through text-based English lessons using high quality texts.
We also encourage reading for pleasure and are engaged with The English Hub on Transforming our School Reading Culture. Every class SQUIRTs (Silent Quality Uninterrupted Independent Reading Time) every day, where we simply read to enjoy books! The links below can help you, as parents, to support your child and also to select high quality books for your children. As always, please ask if you would like any further information!
